Les Brigittines has been a well-known address in the Brussels Marolles for over two decades. Chef and owner Dirk Myny has built the establishment and knows how to entice customers with delicious dishes in a nostalgic setting. The charming chef is a true Brussels native and warmly welcomes guests. The Art Nouveau interior of Les Brigittines is full of atmosphere, making guests feel like they’re in the belle époque. A large wooden bar, a fireplace, and cozy decorative elements create the perfect setting.
Dirk, once trained by renowned chefs such as Michel Beyls and Guy van Cauteren, cooks with a passion for the product. Well-known dishes are given their true flavors again. Each plate is unique, as each base product is unique. At Dirk’s, gray shrimp and cod come from the North Sea, leeks from Nantes, and veal from Limousin. The origin of the high-quality products is certified, and the suppliers are regularly mentioned on the menu because the chef takes pride in presenting their products. On the menu, you’ll find flavor bombs such as veal cheeks braised for four hours in Cantillon cherry beer or a deluxe “Koninginnenhapje” with sweetbreads, capon, and comb with homemade fries. Gueuze, lambic, and artisan beers hold a special place on the menu and pair wonderfully with his dishes. The cellars of Les Brigittines also house some unique wines.
The cuisine is traditional but constantly reimagined!
Les Brigittines was awarded the “Brasserie of the Year 2020” award by Gault Millau.
