Three gentlemen from Rijsel, Pieter Smits, Iwan Driessen, and Bob Kaasenbrood, are embarking on a new adventure together with Tijs Jeurissen, former head chef of restaurant Marius.
Starting in late May 2016, they opened the restaurant ‘Scheepskameel’ at the former Marineterrein in Amsterdam.
At ‘Scheepskameel,’ the focus is on excellent hospitality and quality products: dining in a relaxed atmosphere, suitable for all occasions, for everyone. And always at a fair price. The beautiful view of the city of Amsterdam from the water adds to the experience. ‘Scheepskameel’ presents a compact menu, which changes regularly. The kitchen is guided by classic European preparations with a lot of attention to the main ingredients. Think raw fish, grilled vegetables, roasts with classic sauces, and refined cheeses. Clear, fresh, and recognizable flavors.
The wine list consists exclusively of German wines. A unique feature in Amsterdam.
