No-nonsense subtle romance at La Rosa.
In Edegem, a district of Antwerp, we love to visit La Rosa. In this restaurant, it’s always a pleasure to enjoy contemporary dishes in an original and surprising setting. You dine at cozy tables in an interior that alternates wood with modern touches and comfortable designer chairs. Very warm, and even a little romantic. Indeed, a perfect spot for a successful date!
Chef Wannes Sabbe is responsible for the kitchen at La Rosa and clearly embraces refined bistronomy. He presents beautiful plates, with attention to detail and deep flavors. On the menu, we discover original interpretations of classic dishes such as North Sea crab, “ajo blanco,” ramsons, and seaweed, or cod with pointed cabbage, ratte potatoes, mousseline sauce with shellfish, or lamb, smoked yogurt, artichoke, and tabbouleh. Very interesting are the tasting menus with 3 (62€), 4 (83€), or 5 (95€) courses. You can enjoy lunch here from Tuesday to Friday, between 12 and 2 PM.
In the dining room, Dieter Meyer is in charge. His approach complements perfectly with the dishes of his friend/chef Wannes. Dieter is a true host and also ensures the right wine and beer pairings. The selection includes delicious mineral “Austrian and German wines” and specialty beers that elevate the menu to a higher level.
The place to get spoiled!
