Right in the heart of old Lille, on Rue des Bouchers, it was love at first sight with an atypical building… this is the new address of Florent Ladeyn, a Flemish canteen. Florent wants to share this adventure with his childhood friend Kevin Rolland. It’s a story of friendship, trust between two “mates” who share the same values: simplicity, terroir, and people. Their goal: To bring nature to the city; and they’ve been doing this since the fall of 2013.
They named their place “Bloempot,” and it’s located in a former carpentry workshop, deep within a small courtyard surrounded by lots of greenery. It’s a small oasis of calm in the heart of Lille, capable of hosting around forty people in a rustic and cozy setting.
In this beautiful building with old walls and steel beams, with an open kitchen under a hanging vegetable garden, the focus is on the raw and natural elements of this meeting place.
The menu features a wild, creative cuisine that works with local products, just like at Auberge du Vert Mont. Florent’s culinary savoir-faire is backed by a motivated and close-knit team that has worked together at Auberge du Vert Mont for years. This ensures consistent quality. The goal of this place, whether in the kitchen or the restaurant: just fun!
