Located in the lively Brussels neighborhood of Sint-Gilles, the restaurant is housed in a building that was once a butcher shop, and you can still feel the traces of that history. The tables are spread across two levels, and you dine surrounded by meat hooks and transport rails. The unique atmosphere alone makes La Buvette worth a visit!

However, people come here primarily to eat, and they do so wonderfully. In the kitchen, chef and owner Nicolas Scheidt leads a young and driven team. Originally from the French region of Alsace, Nicolas traveled the world seeking culinary experience before opening La Buvette in Brussels. He chose an authentic setting where he serves surprising, refined dishes in multi-course menus. Nicolas embraces the typical “bistronomy” style on the plate: few ingredients, perfectly seasoned, served without excess or unnecessary garnish, and incredibly original. A great example is his famous dish of ricotta, combined with spinach and roasted sesame, or the creative beetroot sorbet for dessert. The interesting wine list is dominated by natural wines, and artisanal beers also play a significant role. It’s the perfect place to experiment with your glass.

La Buvette: Culinary rock & roll in an authentic, no-nonsense setting.

[219

post-11933","bistro","type-bistro","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","bistro-provincies-brussels
["GET
